Chris was born on January 17, 1941 in Aberdeen, Scotland.  She moved to Morley when she was 5 or 6 with foster parents .  Went to live with Jane and Arnold Bolderson  aged 9 and adopted by them aged 11.  She attended Morley Grammar School.
Aged 16 Chris worked as a telephonist at the Morley Telephone Exchange
Her lifelong close friend Joan Walker who married Geoff Snowden remained close friends throughout her life.
She married John Stephenson on 8th October 1960 and were happily married for many years bringing up their 2 children Delene and John.
John got job in Germany in 1974 and they lodged with the Klippert family in Hirschberg
She worked at various places including Rowntree Macintosh, Yorkshire Bank and later the NHS.  She left the bank when she was 62, and loved her job in NHs so much she didn’t retire until she was 75!  She had a happy retirement and a busy social life.
